COVID-19

16 March 2020 Announcement

Following recent news reports and the speed at which COVID-19 is moving across Europe, we would like to let you know the most recent updates regarding PCI College’s plans and contingency arrangements in relation to the evolving COVID-19 situation.

• As you are aware all classes are postponed until Monday, 30 March 2020. Whilst this may change this is the date we are working to at present.

• Please be advised all decisions to cancel classes also affect our Belfast students. It is PCI College’s priority to ensure the safety of our students and staff, therefore all decisions made for students and staff within the Republic of Ireland also apply to students and staff in Northern Ireland.

• In addition, PCI Counselling Service will be closed until Monday the 30th of March. PCI Counselling Service will communicate with all Student Counsellors placed within the Counselling Service directly, providing ongoing support and guidance.

• PCI College is open at this time, with a reduced team based in Corrig House and a number of staff working remotely from home

• It is possible in the coming days or weeks that all staff may need to work from home. If this is the case, your enrolment with PCI College will not be affected and the College will continue in operation. What this means is:

- The College’s main reception number 00 353 (1) 464 2268 will be operational and although serviced remotely all departments and staff will be contactable. The principal email addresses are:

info@pcicollege.ie (general info / contractors / partners / finance)

enquiries@pcicollege.ie (ROI new students enquiries)

info@pcicollege.co.uk (NI new students enquiries)

studentservices@pcicollege.ie (enrolled students)

programmesoffice@pcicollege.ie (enrolled students)

assignments@pcicollege.ie (enrolled students)

clientwork@pcicollege.ie (enrolled students)

info@pcicounselling.ie (counselling services)

- All staff will continue to work on Board preparations, for the ratification of results and awards in order that students may graduate this year.

- Staff will be liaising with venues and the lecturing team to reorganise classes postponed. In due course, individual emails will be sent out regarding new class dates. For students who are due to graduate this year and are missing a number of classes due to the COVID-19 closure, these classes will be re-scheduled in time to complete your programme through online support or a summer school programme.

- Student recruitment for September 2020 classes will take place as normal.

- Interviews for progression onto the BSc (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy or one of our Masters’ programmes may be moved to Skype or Microsoft Teams.

As you will appreciate, these are extraordinary times and we are working hard to ensure the disruption to your study is as minimal as possible. Our aim is to continue to provide as much normality and structure to you, our students in the weeks ahead.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact studentservices@pcicollege.ie

Also please do not forget to follow the advice of the HSE, or for Northern Ireland students the PHA, at this time:
