Kathleen Ward – Volunteer Scholarship Application Winner 2017
After numerous applications, and an extensive period of consideration by our review panel, Kathleen Ward from County Limerick was chosen as our Volunteer Scholarship Competition winner for 2017. We received several applications that were of a very high standard, but unfortunately we could only select one winner this year. Our lucky winner, Kathleen, stood out due to her noble work volunteering with the local charity Le Chéile in Limerick, an organisation centred on supporting those experiencing social isolation. Not only did Kathleen illustrate a deep understanding of the numerous mental health issues currently affecting the Irish population, she also expressed a very clear personal goal to seek qualification within the landscape of Counselling & Psychotherapy to further help those suffering on a daily basis. We would like to thank our many applicants, Kathleen included, for applying for our Volunteer Scholarship this year. It is the selfless work of the few that can really make the difference in the lives of many, and for that, we applaud you all.
Samantha Wallace – Open Day Competition Winner 2017
During January and February 2017 we held several Open Days across our college locations in Athlone, Cork, Dublin City Centre, Dublin West, Kilkenny, Limerick and Belfast. We were delighted to meet so many people who were interested in the many courses that PCI College has to offer. Whether it was a new career path, one’s own personal development, or progression on to a more advanced course, we met a variety of people from all walks of life who left our Open Day events with a clearer idea of what they wanted to do next. As part of our Open Day events, we offered one lucky guest the opportunity to win a place on our Certificate in Counselling & Psychotherapy course – simply register with us online, have a chat on the day, and it might be you! We were pleased to announce that Samantha Wallace was chosen as our Open Day Competition winner for 2017. She was suitably delighted with having won the competition, and is looking forward to beginning the course in Dublin this February. We would like to thank all those that came to our Open Day events, and hope to hear from you again, whether it’s in one of our classes, at another Open Day, or one of our public lectures.
