Working with Sexual IssuesProfessional Certificate in Working Therapeutically with Sexual Issues

This certificate course is designed to enable qualified helping professionals to work with clients with sexual issues

This 30 hour programme consists of five one-day workshops, each of 6 hours duration.

This certificate course is designed to equip helping professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to incorporate working with sexual issues into their practice in a client-centred, integrative way.

Course Details

As therapists, sexuality and sexual concerns are very often central to the presenting issues of clients in our practice. The range of issues is extensive, and much of the teaching and knowledge around sex and sexuality centres on dysfunction and difficulty.  While it is vital that we understand the problems that clients face, it is important too that we recognise sex as a core element of every human condition and that we are comfortable discussing and assisting clients in all aspects of their sexuality.

In this course, we will explore a range of topics related to sex and sexual issues and how we work with these matters in our therapy practice.  It is designed relevant to qualified and student Counsellors & Psychotherapists, other therapeutic disciplines and all helping professionals with an interest in Counselling & Psychotherapy and sexuality.
