BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy
Sean is an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with the BABCP. He has 14 years of experience of CBT practice treating adults in the UK and Ireland both face to face and online presenting with mild to severe mental health difficulties in primary care, as outpatients and inpatients following hospitalisation. He has specialised in working with adults with mood disorders in particular depression and Bipolar disorder and in providing group CBT over the past 3 years. He has engaged in psychoeducation of mood disorders for professionals and the public via workshops, seminars, and webinars. He advocates for greater understanding of and de-stigmatisation of mood disorders. He has worked as a CBT clinical supervisor for 8 years and enjoys guiding and mentoring other CBT therapists in their ongoing continuing professional development.

Shane is an integrated therapist working from a Cognitive base and has been working as a counsellor since 2005. Shane spent ten years working for the Independent Counselling Service in Schools in Northern Ireland as well as extensive therapeutic work in the community for Imagine If and Lifeline, including Lifeline’s crisis intervention telephone service. He now concentrates on private practice and supervision.
Shane has been lecturing in the field for twelve years, five of those with PCI College. Shane lecturers across our Certificate annd BSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy, and also holds the role Year Head for Years 3 & 4 of the BSc Programme, overseeing many elements of the students journey.

Sharon is an accredited integrative therapist and clinical supervisor currently working in private practice. She primarily operates from a humanistic person-centred perspective, drawing heavily from modalities such as MCBT, CBT and family systems therapy as appropriate.
With several years’ experience of working with people of all ages and life stages in a variety of group and individual settings, Sharon feels that psychoeducation can be key to promoting positive therapeutic relationships. Genuine and optimistic connections can promote positive mental health and wellbeing and form a pivotal role in her practice.

Sheila is a fully qualified psychotherapist having completed the BSc (Hons) Degree in Counselling /Psychotherapy and Professional Diploma in Psychotherapy. She is accredited with the IACP. Her professional background before becoming a therapist has been as an SNA for 16 years, working with children with diverse needs. She is an integrative and humanistic therapist, but also draws on other theoretical approaches including CBT and Psychodynamic modalities to support her clients.
Sheila has a professional certificate with PCI College in Working with Trauma, and also CBT skills and additionally holds a Professional Certificate with RCSI in the area of children and Loss. She has also completed the Fetac train the trainer course and applied suicide training.

Simon is an accredited counsellor/psychotherapist with a particular interest in the therapeutic value of writing. He is also an experienced educator and group facilitator, both online and in person. As a lecturer at PCI College, he specialises in personal and professional development. He has facilitated workshops around writing and wellbeing for PCI and Big Smoke Writing Factory, and leads his own creative/reflective writing groups for therapists. He has also co-facilitated Outhouse’s personal development course for gay and bisexual men. Before becoming a counsellor, Simon lectured in Japanese language and culture at DCU, and the spirit of support, respect and creativity that underpinned his teaching approach then continues to inform his therapy and group work today.

Sinéad joined PCI College in 2007, she is currently working as Academic Contracts & Facilities Manager. Sinéad’s role involves lecturer engagement from recruitment, contracts, performance reviews and training. Her role as facilities manager involves the management of Housekeeping and Caretaking staff.
Sinéad found that working in PCI College increased her appetite for learning more about counselling and psychotherapy and enrolled on the certificate programme. Sinéad started the BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy in 2017 and graduated with an Honours Degree in 2021. Following the degree, Sinéad completed the professional certificate in CBT. She is working in private practice, which is focuses on the core conditions, relationship depth with a passionate interest in the role of spirituality in the therapeutic space.

Sorca is a psychotherapist, play therapist and clinical supervisor accredited by The Irish Association for Play Therapy and Psychotherapy (IAPTP), holds certification with The European Association of Integrative Psychotherapy (EAIP) and is a member of The Institute of Disability Psychotherapy (IPD). She is a board member of IAPTP the Irish Association of Psychotherapy and Play Therapy’s National Executive Committee and currently serves as Vice Chairperson.
Sorca is also a member of Disability Psychotherapy Ireland (DPI) and has presented her work nationally and internationally, focusing on the use of creative psychotherapy approaches with neurodiverse people.
Sorca specialises in attachment and trauma work and has extensive experience working with people, young and old, living in care. She has created the Every Body Movesâ„¢ range of therapeutic programmes for people with learning differences who share spaces, based on an embodied approach to relationship and emotional regulation.
Sorca has a special interest in working with organisations that provide residential care in Ireland, developing ways of sharing psychotherapeutic language, neurobiology and therapeutic thinking from the top down.

Suzanne is an accredited member of both the Irish Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (IACP) and the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). She is a qualified psychotherapist and also has a masters and undergraduate degree in health psychology. She has been working in her own private practice since 2016 where she specialises in working with clients seeking support for physical health concerns. Prior to this Suzanne worked in Social Services, mainly homeless services supporting individuals and families with many complex needs such as addiction, mental ill health, learning difficulties and child protection concerns.

Tracy has worked with multiple organisations and schools and currently works with care leavers for Focus Ireland, Foster carers for Foster Care Ireland, and students in secondary school in Dublin West.

William is a board member of the College and of our parent company, CCS Training, as well as being on the board of the Iron Mill College, our sister college in the UK. A graduate of the University of Dublin, Trinity College and the University of Cambridge, William is a chartered accountant, and holds a number of directorships, including Chair of Inspire Wellbeing, one of the largest mental health charities on the island of Ireland.
