This online certificate in Psychology offers an introduction into Psychology and its broad areas of specialism.

This course provides students with the opportunity to explore some of the most important and upcoming fields of study within the discipline. There are five modules which include Introduction to Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, CyberPsychology and Abnormal Psychology. Each module is accompanied by an online tutorial and end of module assessment to consolidate the learning. As you progress with the course you can avail of continued support via portal access.

This course is for anyone interested in expanding their knowledge of Psychology with the possibility of going on to further study. As it is online it can be completed in a time frame that suits the student. Those taking this course may also be thinking of further study in the area of Counselling and Psychotherapy and this will provide some insight into the foundational aspects which are developed in counselling. Certain topics covered may also be of interest to those working in the areas of childcare and mental health. As it is an introductory course there are no entry requirements.

Timetable

You can begin this course at any time. Once you have started the course you have a deadline of 12 months to complete all five modules and submit their related assignments.

5 x online multiple-choice questionnaire and 5 x personal reflections

Eligibility

As this is an introductory course there are no entry requirements.

Language Requirements

All candidates are required to satisfy the English language requirement. Candidates whose first language is not English and who are presenting qualifications other than the Leaving Certificate may satisfy the requirement through the completion of the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) on the basis that they obtain a minimum band score of 6 at the undergraduate level and 6.5 at postgraduate level or an equivalent score of TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or Cambridge, which denotes a very good skill level of English. It should be noted that these are the minimum requirements in English and PCI College may set higher requirements in each case.

Fees

PCI College tuition fee for the Online Certificate in Psychology is €480.

Applicants are invited to book online accompanied by the applicable fee.
Once you are enrolled, you will be given access to the online PCI College Student Portal to begin the course within 3-5 working days.
